Peterson, the high-flying freestyle skier whose silver medal at the Vancouver Olympics represented a triumph over the demons of his past, has died. Officials said the 29-year-old Park City resident shot himself in the head in Lambs Canyon, east of Salt Lake City.

Last Saturday, I shot the Kiss Me Dirty race at Wheeler Historic Farm. The four-mile obstacle mud course, was run only by women, who were raising money for gynecological cancer research. I had a great time shooting this dirty girl race and half expected to run into Sol Neelman during the day.
I spent a great weekend in Northern California visiting several wineries and learning about their organic, sustainable and biodynamic farming practices. Thanks to Judd’s Hill, Honig, Saracina, Jeriko and Bucklin for allowing us to spend time at your vineyards and drink your delicious wines.
