The Return of Snowbird

The ski season has officially returned and I couldn’t be happier. An early season storm dumped over 30 inches of fresh powder on Utah’s Wasatch Mountains. I can’t think of a better way to spend my off-days. Here are some snaps from my winter playground : Snowbird.

Russian Orthodox

On Sunday, I photographed the ordination service of Michael Vanopstall, a deacon in the Russian Orthodox Church. The service took place in a small church in West Jordan, Ut., that held about 50 people. This was a treat to photograph because of the beautiful light and colors.

City Creek Dirt Jumps

I hung out with some professional mountain bikers at some crazy dirt jumps at the base of the Bonneville Shoreline Trail. They were launching off of a step-up ramp that was made in a natural gully and doing some sweet tricks. Good times.
