Last June, Ashley and I spent a week relaxing on the beaches of Sanibel & Captiva Islands following her mom’s wedding in Gillette, Wyoming. To say it was humid is a ridiculous understatement. But nothing helps beat the humidity like a cool pool, sandy beaches and some refreshing beverages.
I finally got around to posting some of my pictures form the 2009 Utah vs BYU “Holy War.” BYU tight end Andrew George scored the final touchdown in overtime, winning the game 26-23.

On Monday, I covered a tragic apartment fire that killed 10-year-old Jackson Avery. When I arrive, the fire had been put out, and there was no word of any injuries or deaths. A few minutes later, South Salt Lake Fire Department Chief Steve Foote told members of the media that there was one confirmed fatality.
